明尼阿波利斯

明尼阿波利斯是美国明尼苏达州第一大城市。位于州境东南部，明尼苏达河口附近。面积142.5平方千米。人口约 34.84万。为密西西比航线顶端的入口港，与河对岸的圣保罗组成著名的双子城都市区。1872年由原圣安东尼和明尼阿波利斯两城合并而成。面粉工业名列全美前列，产量仅次于布法罗。市内的谷物交易所是世界最大同类机构之一。制造业有电子、机械制造、精密仪器、化工及服装等多种部门。工厂主要分布在市区南部。与圣保罗一起构成中北部地区交通枢纽、商业和金融中心。环境优美，湖泊众多，有水城、度假之城雅称。设有明尼苏达大学、明尼阿波利斯工艺美术学院、美国瑞典学会、沃克艺术中心及音乐厅、博物馆等。
